DIE4ART by Naomi

Photography, videography and editing

Portraits of resistance and reinvention; visuals to embody DIE4ART’s bold approach to creativity, education, and empowerment.

Creative expression, radical intention

Following my documentation of Communion, I had the privilege of capturing two shoots for co-founder and host Naomi at Many Room Studios in London.

As Naomi launched her new agency DIE4ART, standing for Decolonial Inclusion and Equity for the Creative Arts, we collaborated to distill her ethos into images that reflected her ethos and evolution as an activist and educator.

For the brand launch shoot, we introduced DIE4ART through a multilayered visual narrative. With three curated outfits, the set weaved textures and visual cues from Naomi’s librarian roots - books, magazines, fashion, art, and postures that nodded to study, reflection, and confidence. We crafted a shoot across four distinct themes, each echoing DIE4ART’s core pillars: changemaking, decolonialism, inclusion, and her consultancy expertise.

From scream to silence

For the second hybrid shoot, Naomi conceptualised a visceral exploration of Arab and global trauma, personal grief, and the liberatory power of expression.

I supported with creative assistance, videography and editing, shaping the narrative arc from rupture to restoration. A blood-stained white top with watchful eyes became the visual centerpiece, amplified through greyscale tones in the edit that made the red bleed with meaning.

Horror-influenced sound design, fast-paced handwritten text overlays, and a jarring juxtaposition of scream and stillness allowed the piece to communicate both urgency and depth.

Throughout the process, I held the space for Naomi’s bold storytelling with thoughtful responsiveness, translating her layered visions into emotionally immersive visuals.

The resulting images have become foundational to DIE4ART’s identity. Used across Naomi’s website, social channels, and client proposals, the visuals provoke thought and invite connection.
