Queer Ecology

Photography

Queer ecology invites us to reimagine how we understand organisms to interact, challenging long-held assumptions of ‘normality’. A photoshoot exploring these themes.

Embracing the multi-faceted

Science is shaped by social and political forces, which can limit our understanding of the diversity of nature. Gender fluidity is increasingly being documented in animals, plants and fungi, beyond perceived notions of the male and female binary.

We exist in multiplicty. An ever-expansive tapestry shaped by the interactions we have with one another. Queer Ecology rejects hierarchy and domination, envisioning liberation for humans and non-humans alike.
