Earthed Summit 2025

Photography

In September 2025, I was part of the team photographing the Earthed Summit in London, a one-day gathering of artists, activists, land stewards, and educators exploring the theme of Generation Restoration.

Held at EartH Hackney, the summit was a vibrant convergence of talks, workshops, rituals, and live music, all rooted in ecological care and cultural renewal.

My role was to document the day with sensitivity and resonance, capturing not just the programming, but the spirit of the gathering. I moved gently through the space, using the light available and minimal equipment to remain unobtrusive. I prioritised candid documentation over posed imagery, allowing authenticity to lead.

Documenting regeneration

I documented tactile engagement, grounded facilitation, and moments of quiet reflection. Highlights included portraits of speakers including Biologist and Author Merlin Sheldrake and Earthed Co-Founding Director Christabel Reed, as well as atmospheric stills of collaborative sessions.

Post-production focused on warmth, clarity, and emotional tone. I delivered a curated gallery of over 80 high-resolution images which have since been featured in Earthed communications.

Photographing the Earthed Summit reaffirmed my belief in visual storytelling as a tool for cultural memory and collective care. It was an honour to witness and document a space where regeneration was a living presence.
