Middle Ground Growers
Videography and photography
Visual storytelling for a regenerative food system on the edge of Bath. In Autumn, I had the joy of documenting the Middle Ground Growers story through film and photography, capturing the pulse of the land and the people who steward it.
Documenting abundance
Just outside Bath, Middle Ground Growers CIC represent a commitment to ecological care, community resilience, and food justice. Rooted in permaculture principles, their work cultivates not only organic produce but a fairer, more connected local food system.
I was commissioned to produce a short film at Weston Spring Farm to weave together voices from the team, each speaking to the heart of their work. From field-scale crops to flower beds, veg boxes to wholesale markets, their reflections reveal a shared ethos: growing food with integrity, and growing community alongside it.
The video celebrates their work and invites viewers to support it, whether through veg box subscriptions, flower purchases, or simply sharing the story.
Portraits of place and purpose
Alongside the film, I captured a suite of stills to support Middle Ground Growers’ Autumn offering. These images were crafted to reflect the richness of the season and the soul of the farm. I took headshots of the team to spotlight the people behind the produce. I photographed their seasonal bounty with care, styling veg boxes and product shots. Wide shots captured the farm in its Autumn glory, from polytunnels to flower beds, market garden to field scale, and close-ups honoured the tactile beauty of the farm.
These images now live across Middle Ground Growers’ marketing platforms, from their website to social channels, helping customers connect with the land, the growers, and the values behind each box. Their work is a reminder that farming can be joyful, regenerative, and deeply relational.
